2022 Ford Escape

The 2022 Ford Escape comes in three trim levels: Escape S, Escape SE, and Escape Titanium. The dimensions of this vehicle are 181 inches long, 74 inches wide, and 66 inches tall.

There are some unique exterior features included in each trim. The Escape S trim has black upper window molding with black beltline molding, a black grille, and black mirrors. The Escape SE trim includes chrome upper window molding, black door handles, black mirrors, and dual chrome exhaust outlets. The Escape Titanium trim has chrome upper window molding and beltline molding, a black grille with a chrome surround, and body-color mirrors.

Each trim comes in three models, the non-hybrid model, the hybrid model, and the plug-in hybrid model. The plug-in hybrid model has an electric motor the vehicle can use until the battery runs out of charge.

The 2022 Ford Escape also comes with three engine options. The base model has a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine that makes 150 horsepower and comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The second option is the 1.2-liter hybrid engine that produces 160 horsepower and comes paired with an E-CVT transmission. The third option is the 1.0-liter Ionic Power electric motor, which is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack that gives it an additional output of 153 horsepower and comes with a six-speed automatic transmission plus front-wheel-drive mode or all-wheel-drive mode.

The 2022 Ford Escape has a top speed of 120 miles per hour, a zero to 60 miles per hour time of 8.5 seconds, a city fuel economy rating of 44 miles per gallon, and a highway fuel economy rating of 37 miles per gallon. It has a towing capacity of 1,500 to 3,500 pounds, depending on the model type.

The 2022 Ford Escape has seating for five people with available leather upholstery on the first and second rows or cloth upholstery on the first two rows with leather being optional on the second row. The third row will be able to accommodate two passengers. Standard features include adjustable lumbar support on all seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, push-button start, and an 8-inch touch-screen interface with full connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The 2022 Ford Escape is equipped with an available rearview camera, forward collision warning and prevention system, lane departure warning, and a brake override function. Other standard features include advanced dual-stage front air bags, side-impact air bags on all seats, and a tire pressure monitor.
