2022 Ford Maverick

The 2022 Ford Maverick has three trim levels: XL, XLT, and Lariat. Each of these trim levels has some unique interior and exterior features. The XL trim level has a black mesh grille with a black surround, LED headlamps, and black door handles. The XLT trim level features a gray grille, wiper-activated headlamps, and black door handles with body-color handles as an option. The Lariat trim level has body-color door handles and windows, a silver grille, and LED headlamps with LED signature accent lighting. Some of the wheel features in all trim levels include chrome accents and stylish wheels in 16-, 17-, or 18-inch sizes. It also comes with a capless fuel filler for added convenience.

The 2022 Ford Maverick is the first-ever standard pickup truck with a hybrid engine option. This 2.5 L four-cylinder hybrid engine produces 191 hp and 155 pound-feet of torque. With the hybrid engine, you can expect an EPA-estimated 40 mpg in city driving. You can also outfit your Maverick with a 2.0 L four-cylinder Ecoboost engine that achieves 250 hp and 277 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a CVT automatic transmission. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also available as an additional option. The 2022 Ford Maverick has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. With the Ecoboost engine and an optional tow package, the truck can tow up to 4,000-pounds.

The Ford Maverick has a zero-to-60 acceleration time of 9.2 seconds and can reach speeds up to 124 mph. Other performance features include battery saver technology in the hybrid.

The base model comes with an infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. A head-up display is optional on this model. The standard package comes with cloth seats in the front and rear and a six-way manual driver's seat. Additional interior features include a power driver's seat, ambient lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a remote engine start.

All safety features are standard in all models of the 2022 Ford Maverick. Some of these include a rear cross-path detection system, blind-spot monitoring system, and lane-departure warning system. Additionally, all 2022 Ford Maverick vehicles have nine standard air bags, a rear parking assist system, and a hill start assist system. All models of the 2022 Ford Maverick come standard with Co-Pilot 360 Technology, which includes auto high-beam lights, a pre-collision assist system with automatic emergency braking, and a rearview camera.
