Holt Motors Ford of Cokato

Carfax 2021 top-rated dealer Award

Apr 14, 2023

You don’t need to leave Cokato, MN to find plenty of great spring activities this year. We’re looking forward to joining in the community garage sale days, watching kart races, and joining a free escape room.

1. City-Wide Garage Sales

Spring is a season for change and for many of us that makes this garage sale season. The Chamber of Commerce has marked the weekend of April 29th and April 30th for city-wide garage sales. The city of Cokato has not compiled an official list of homes participating in the city-wide sale. You’ll need to drive around neighborhoods and look for the posted signs.

The hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. This will be a great time for getting in your 2023 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks. The rearview camera will make street parking at all these sales a lot easier.

2. Garage No Sale

Cornerstone Church has taken a different approach with a Garage No Sale on Saturday, April 29th. Everything in the Cornerstone Church parking lot will be available for free. Their student ministries have put together this event.

It will be happening from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. The Cornerstone Church is located at 405 Broadway Ave S.

3. Stockholm Karting Center Race Days

Stockholm Karting Center racing season begins in the spring once the track has dried out. The first racing day is Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with the same hours on May 7th. There will also be two days of racing events on Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th with the same hours.

While the hours for the track start at 8:00 am, practice begins at 9:30 am and qualifying begins at 11:30 am. Then the actual races begin at 12:30 pm, which is when spectators would likely want to arrive. The best 16/18 races will count towards the season championship event. Stockholm Karting Center is located at 13185 US-12 in Cokato.

4. Cokato’s Sunken Treasure

The Cokato Museum is having a super fun spring event with a free escape room. You will need to come in a group of four to six people all 11 years or older. This free escape room is happening during normal museum hours, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Cokato’s Sunken Treasure is located at 175 Fourth St and ends on May 27th.

The story for the escape room is that your grandmother sank the family’s secret treasure. Now it’s been found, and it’s your job to sneak into the museum and make sure they don’t reveal your family secrets. You have 45 minutes to find your family’s secret treasure and keep it safe from the public eye.

We have a lot to look forward to as the weather is finally warming up. This is a good time to think about new beginnings, like new vehicles. Visit Holt Motors to see our selection of new cars
